One-day road trips, locally tested.
Three full-day routes we’d actually plan ourselves — the west-coast beach circuit, a UNESCO Willemstad day, and a family-friendly loop. Each comes with a stop-by-stop timeline and a ready-to-go Google Maps route.

2
10:00
Playa Daaibooi
Laid-back local beach. Snorkel from shore with the resident sea turtles.

Playa Cas Abou
Pristine white sand and full facilities — chairs, showers, snorkel/kayak rentals. Small entrance fee, worth every penny.
4
13:15
Playa Forti Restaurant — lunch
Cliffside table with sweeping ocean views. Try the fresh catch, stoba, or local iguana soup — and watch the cliff jumpers below.
5
14:45
Playa Kenepa Grandi (Grote Knip)
The most photographed beach on the island. Postcard from the lookout, then jump in for the post-lunch swim.
6
15:50
Playa Kenepa Chikitu (Kleine Knip)
Smaller, more intimate sister beach. Local favorite — peaceful, often quiet.
7
17:00
Playa Lagun
Dramatic cliffs and a reef-walled cove. Best golden-hour snorkel of the day — the light turns the reef magical.
🎒Pack: snorkel gear, reef-safe sunscreen, and cash (USD or XCG) for the Cas Abou entrance + chair rentals.
Best for: beach lovers, snorkelers
Road Trip 2 · Culture · City

4
12:30
Early lunch at Plasa Bieu
Local market food court — kabritu stoba, funchi, fresh juice. Only open 11:00–14:30, so don’t be late.
5
14:00
Cross the Queen Emma Bridge
Floating wooden bridge to Otrobanda. Catch the swing if a ship’s coming through.
